Pets

A fun week discovery if we had pets or didn't...and making a pet of our own. We learned what it takes to take care of a pet. We also got to meet a special service pet. We learned how service pets differ from a standard pet. We worked on the letter Pp in so many different and fun ways!

Thursday:
After reading, Not Norman...a story about a boy who didn't want a fish as a pet in the beginning...but at the end there couldn't be a better pet than his fish, Norman. We used our hand prints to make our very own, "Norman"

Tooooooo cute not to share!

These kiddos LOVE building with blocks at school. Please remind your kiddos at home not to knock over other friends' blocks.

"Ta-Da"

craft time painting...

He loves this toy!

Color sorting dog bones and 1:1 counting

Independent Pp dotting...

On a letter hunt

P is for pirates and princesses. These kiddos got to lace around a pirate or princess...a great fine motor skill for their hands and eyes!

team building with blocks...

Friday:
Sharing the All About Me bucket!

I love learning more about these sweet kiddos...and it is so great for them to learn to share aloud!

Finishing our Norman

This sweet love brought in her pet snail!

We tried 3 things that began with P...popcorn, pepperoni, and pretzels. Which one did you like best?

We then graphed it!

Our special visitor. We got to learn all about service animals and how they help so many.

They showed us many tricks.

Such great listeners!

At the end we were allowed to pet this sweet service dog.

Time for pet rocks...

Pp is for popcorn. The kiddos placed popcorn kernels on the paper...such a great fine motor task for these little fingers.

I love what these kiddos come up with!

A perfect pet for a perfect boy!

What a blessed week we had...I look forward to Eric Carle next week. He is one of my most favorite authors!
