Dinosaurs

What a fun week to explore these giant creatures from the past! We worked on the letter Dd and continued 0-5. We also started working on the letters in our names.

Thursday:
Dd is for dots...
They got to peel dot stickers and add them to the sheet! Do I even have to say great fine motor skill??

Our own detectives going on a Dd letter hunt...

Non-standard unites of measurement. This activity was great for measuring and 1:1 counting.
I was also able to have them answer "bigger, smaller" question...along with "How can you tell which one is bigger/shorter?"
So great for higher level thinking.

Decorating some dino feet...

practicing some scissor cutting. Scissor cutting is great...Especially with getting the hang of opening and closing them to make a cut.
You can encourage this at home...but encourage cutting of play-doh, yarn, straws...etc

Time to get the dinos out of the ice...We used 2 methods plastic hammers and water droppers.
My very own archaeologists!

Friday:
Oh paint how I have missed you! We couldn't possibly paint on picture day...so we had to suffer and wait until Friday!

Mad climbing skills! Great job!

This kiddo can jump!

Dinos with some glitter!

Me and this sweet gal...trying to keep warm outside!

We got to listen to this sweet army guy talk to us about the military and Veteran's Day. A day near and dear to my heart!

Working on our names. For some kiddos I wrote their name on the dino...and they matched the letters up. This is a great way to work on their name. You will begin seeing many more things like this as the new year approaches.

Perfection!
And they can model this for you at home (Hint, Hint)

Checking out some cook dino stuff...

number counting and matching.

What an awesome week! This week is Turkeys!
