Dr. Seuss!

Another short week...boo! I am ready for spring that is for sure! We had a fun filled day with Dr. Seuss and read tons of fun books! The kiddos got a kick out of Fox in Socks!

Sweet buddy got to share about his experience with Gumby.

Check out all of our sill socks!
Great job sweet buddy!

We made our own Thing 1 and Thing 2 guys!

Y is for yarn! Not only did they have fun learning about different things that start with the letter Y...but...what does Mrs. Laura like about this actvity!?! Can you guess??

Yup!!! You guessed it! Cutting! They cut small pieces of yarn and glued them onto the Y! We worked on proper scissor holding and positioning of the object we are cutting.

They were so focused! But they did get to do something much more fun afterwards!

Yo-Yo's start with Y! Let's figure these guys out!

Down it goes...but who can make it come up? lol! This was tricky...but they had a blast!!

This sweet face says it all! Paint! This was their independent activity for the day! They tried to follow the color pattern of Dr. Seuss's hat!

Great job sweet girl!
Letter hunt for Yy and dot that Y!

A fun game of BINGO when they finished! Thank you to Mrs. Tracey Dykes for assisting us today!

One fish...two fish...red fish...oh wait...no Blue fish! lol! We sorted colored goldfish and then graphed them!
If you do this at home... I would start with only about 5 goldfish! I had Mrs. Tracey start with 10 and it was a bit much! Sorting was easy...graphing them was bad...but counting was a bit confusing!

More about those silly fish! In each fish bowl the kiddos had to read the number and put the correct amount of goldfish in each bowl. This was also kind of tricky for a few! This would be a great activity to do with them at home!!

Great 1-1 counting sweet buddy!

Play-Doh time! This is one of our favorite activities!

Our silly hat picture! Thank you Dr. Seuss for being such a great inspiration to our kiddos!!
