Apples, Apples, Apples

What a fun and tasty week.  So many hands-on activities this week.

We worked on the letter Aa this week. We are starting to look at our friend's names...seeing if we can recognize if their names have the letter of the week in it. So many names have the letter Aa. We did our weekly letter hunt and sorted capital and lowercase Aa's. The kiddos peeled apple stickers to fill in the letter A.

We did some staircase counting with the number 4 (apple baskets). I sent these activities home...try practicing them with your kiddos. We also rolled a dot cube and added that number of apples to our trees...using tweezers

The kiddos had so much fun making some yummy baked apples in our classroom and they got to try yellow, red, and green apples and graphed our favorites.

Lots of painting this week in our room...from sponge painting...painting our hands...and even q-tip painting! Is it really preschool if we don't get messy?

This week we continued our bible focus on creation. We are on day 3...he created The land, plants, and trees.

This week try:
1. Doing the apple basket sheet I sent home.
2. Count to 10
3. Count 4 objects.
4. Tell you if they have the letter Aa in their name.

Continuing the All about Me bucket! I so loving hearing about what makes them special!
He let me wear his favorite hat from his favorite store!

Letter Aa hunt

Here we rolled a dot cute and added "apples" to our tree. The kicker is they had to use tweezers to put them on. So not only is this a great counting skill that displays value...but a great fine motor skill too!

Apple tasting...which kind is your favorite?

Our sweet palm print apples...with our thumbprint for the worm!
