family and friends...

What a fun week exploring families and friends. We had fun with the letter Ff and the number 2. We even worked on counting the members of our family that live with us.

This week I added a screen under their sheet so they could practice writing and feel how the letters are made when they trace...

Great job sweet buddy! As the year progresses we will begin working on pencil grip...

Me, Myself, and I...a great beginning to a new year!

As I kick off my 5th start to a LAP school year...I couldn't feel more blessed! I just adore all of these sweet faces.


This week we learned about how special we all are...no matter how we look. God has made each of us different and special! We did some fun things to learn about the letter Mm and the number 1. During the school year I will do many things that highlight fine motor skills...so many of our activities incorporate that...

Thursday:
After reading the book, The Kissing Hand...we decided to make special kissing hands for you...so when we are at school you will feel our love!

During Snack time is when I do our author study. For the next few weeks I will be reading James Dean books. He writes the Pete the Cat books. The kiddos love Pete!

I recently learned her response was a Nursery Nurse...this gal will be able to practice her skills on her newest baby sisters...yes plural!

Checking out the magnets! Play time is so important in these early stages! The learn how to use their imagination, build friendships, take turns, and share! We have lots of free social/play time!

Friday:
Play-Doh is such a great icebreaker! Kids love it...and it is great for those small hands!

After reading, I Like Myself we answered questions about ourselves so we could learn a little more about these sweet friends! They then got to water color their banners!

This sweet gal so super excited to show me that she can climb the rock wall this year! Last year it was a little intimidating but this year...she was ready to conquer! So proud of her!

Before snack we always have a bible lesson...and on Fridays at the end of the day we celebrate our  verse of the week and get sweet bracelets to remind us and to share with you.
