What a great week exploring apples! We learned the parts of the apples, their life cycle, and some yummy things we can make from them. We also learned about the number 4 and the letter Aa.
*For some reason...I lost some of the photos I took on Thursday :(
Thursday:
After tasting the apples we got to share which ones were our favorites. We then graphed our results! A fun way to look at which had the most likes and which had the least. |
We worked together to get ingredients ready to make crock-pot applesauce! |
I took it home to back it over night. |
Our yummy themed snack! |
rolling pine cones in paint, glitter, and cinnamon! |
We like to get messy in preschool! |
A sweet story time! |
Friday:
After reading about Johnny Appleseed...we made apples of our own...then labeled the parts. |
so smart! |
We are loving the sand Mrs. Tracy brought to the school! |
Time to finish our applesauce! |
What great chef! |
Big helper! |
Applesauce and Apple Jacks for snack! |
They were able to take their "apples" home to show you how they can count. I love sending stuff like this home to connect home and school. At this age kiddos LOVE "homework!" |
Dot cube rolling. They rolled it and counted the dots. They then found that number on their apple tree and colored it in! |
Time to make erupting apples. |
Then I poured in vinegar! Magic happened! |
Aa is for Apple! The kiddos peeled stickers to put on their A. A great fine motor skill for these sweet fingers! |
Hard at work! |
