Halloween

Thursday we had the best and most organized party. Everything went so smoothly and the kiddos had a blast! A huge “Thank You!!” to the parents that were able to help.

We worked on the letter Hh this week doing a letter hunt and adding Halloween stickers to an H paper (a great fine motor skill is peeling stickers). We will be working on your kiddo being able to identify and name their first letter of their name.

I had fun surveying your kiddos to see what they were going to be for Halloween. They also made spider or monster crafts with pinecones and got to water color paint. When the kiddos came in Thursday they had so much fun making Play-doh monsters.

For our number sense we continued numbers 0-5. We worked on 1:1 counting pumpkins and matching them to the correct number. We have also started working on counting to 15. After break we will increase 1:1 counting to 7.

I finished up a quick assessment to check where the kiddos are at this far into the year. Please remember this is just a guide to help my instruction and not something that is expected. It will also give you an idea of what to work on at home if need be. They are just 3 so there are absolutely zero expectations!!

I was able to use many of the new table top activities and supplies I purchased with trike-a-thon money this year!! Thank you all for your generous donations!!

This week at home you can work with them on...
1. Tracing their names and verbally spelling their names
2. Counting to 15
3. Counting out 7 objects
4. Tell you why they shouldn't ever be afraid
