This week we explored all of the wonderful things we can be thankful for. We also continued to learn that God has provided us with everything and to Thank him with all of our hearts, minds, and souls.
We worked on the letter T. The kiddos tore paper (great for those little fingers...the smaller they tear the stronger their fingers are). They also stamped a letter T with a q-tip.
With working on our numbers the kiddos got to “feed the turkey” They rolled a dot cube and whatever number they rolled they used tweezers to pick-up pom-poms to feed him...Not only are we working on number sense but also hand/eye coordination, counting, and fine motor skills
They had fun adding pom-poms to fill in turkey feathers (once again with tweezers). Working on scissor grip and cutting was also on our agenda this week...they are improving this skill every week.
For our crafts we worked on something special to give to our grandparents that we made with our very own hands. We also got to decorate wooden turkeys...these kiddos are such artists.
What to expect for Grandparent’s Day...Have them arrive at 10:00. We will paint the ornaments you paid for from Earth and Fire. The ornaments will be ready before our holiday break. We will have a craft to do with our grandparents (or special guest), practice our Christmas Program songs, have a little refreshment, and give them a special gift. If you want your child to leave with their grandparent/special guest...just be sure to let me know so I can mark that down. Sometimes it is hard for a little one to see their grandparent leave without them.
Have the most blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving...we all have so much to be thankful for.
Be sure to check out your kiddo's school photos! They are nothing short of amazing!
This week ask your child:
1. Something they are thankful for
2. Count to 15
3. Verbally spell their name
4. To help you set the table for Thanksgiving and count out: napkins, silverware, plates, etc
