President's Day

This week we learned a few neat things about our Presidents. We got to sort money, work on the letter Kk, measure using non-standard units of measurement, vote for a class pet (we aren't really getting one), and share what we would do if we were the President.

Thursday:
Voting for the animal we would want to have in our class!

The results are in! The cat won by a landslide!
Making our very own George Washington (just in case you were wondering what this thing was! lol!!)

letter Kk hunt

Money sort and count. This was great for the kiddos to pay close attention to the details of the coins.

Checking out some of our past Presidents.

What we would do if we were the President! The have some great ideas of making our country a great place!

 Friday:
Pokey fun!

Gumby's adventures!

sponge painting the American Flag...

Kinder Prep put on a special Patriotic Parade!

Measuring using non-standard units of measurements. We got to compare how many coins we used for each measurement of the marker. We discovered it took more dimes to measure the marker than the Quarter because the quarter is larger.

Heads and Tales tally sheet...

Dr. Jenkins came to visit and teach us about our teeth...

What a penny would look like if we were on it!

Next week we will be exploring an amazing author who loves kiddos and ALL people! He teaches us so many truthful lessons...if we all were like Dr. Seuss our world would be a better place!
