Unique me!

Welcome back! What a fun way to start the week. We focused on how we are different and being different is what makes us special. We also talked about New Year's Resolutions...and made a few of our own. We moved on from 0-5 and touched base with number 6. I continued to check counting and number sense! We worked on the letter Uu. We also played and caught up with our friends!

Thursday:

After talking about what a New Year's Resolutions we made a class list of things that we may want to learn this year. I then asked each kiddo individually what they wanted to learn.

Their resolutions were all super cute...and this is one I can help with!

Time to decorate...with glitter glue!

Check out these cute crafts in the hallway. I finally took those turkeys down!

Reunited as friends...let's play!!

3 peas in a pod! These girls can't get much sweeter!

We read and learned about Snowflake Bently. The first man to photograph snowflakes. We then checked out a few of his photographs. Amazing!!!!

Then we made snowflakes of our own...these turned out so super cute and unique!

Just look at those faces and try not to smile! Such sweet buddies working so hard to make a perfect snowflake!

There won't be another snowflake like this...ever!
We compared our snowflakes to our friends...

No one has fingerprints like you! Another way to show how unique we are!

Friday:
We talked about our feelings and made a mood bear. They can now show you how they are feeling.

Awesome job friends...they worked together and made this masterpiece.

Perfect counting sweet girl!
They rolled the dot cube and counted the dots!

What color hair and eyes do you have? Let's use the mirror to find out!

Then let's fill in this cool sheet...

We will continue to work on our names and pencil grips the remainder of the year. Today we counted the letters in our name and worked on tracing. Mrs. Laura for sure continued to check those pencil grips...I must admit I am impressed with how quickly the kiddos are learning to hold their pencil properly! I can tell you amazing parents are working with them at home!
