Healthy Happy Bodies!
Even though this was a short week we accomplished so much!
To start our day off we talked about how we use our body and read a book called, 5 senses
Mrs. Laura hid a secret food and the kiddos had to use all of their senses and predict what it was. I got so caught up in doing this activity I forgot to take pictures (Can you believe that craziness!?!?) The little ones had such a blast doing this...
It feels like...

It smells like...

It sounds like...
It tastes like...

This part was so much fun...they were so nervous to try a food with their eyes closed...so trusting!

It looks like...A PICKLE! I wanted to pick something the kiddos wouldn't have a clue on! I had thought about cookies and different fruits....but pickles seem to be far more interesting! It was neat to hear what they thought it was after they had tasted it...Our senses can seem to trick us when we don't use all of them together!

Make the letter Nn...this week I added in capitol and lower case to make it more challenging!

This week I added an activity that allowed the kiddos to work completely independently. I was so amazed with how well they did on this. The squeezing of the glue bottle and picking up of the noodle is a great fine motor skill!

Letter hunt for the letter Nn...This was a bit more tricky for them...I again added the capitol and lower case.

I had a hard time stumping this smart guy!
Before recess we talked about things we could do to keep our body healthy at recess. Exercise was the best answer! Check out those push-ups!

Jumping jacks!

More jumping jacks!

Squats!

Great form on those squats!

Shooting some hoops!

Run...Run...Run!!
What is better than dinner and a movie? How about snack and a book. We continued Don and Audrey Wood and read The Napping House

Such great listeners!

After we read this fine story we worked on retelling and sequencing

After reading a story retelling is so great for comprehension! You can do this at home!

A job well done!
